The download contained on this page is an Arcexplorer project using earthquake data taken from the GNS National Earthquake catalogue.

Arcexplorer is a lightweight and free GIS data explorer developed by ESRI that lets you view and query data in map form.

You can download some data from our site, and look at and query it with ArcExplorer.

1. Download ArcExplorer. (7.2 meg) Follow the instructions on the ArcExplorer download page to correctly load the program.

2. Make a new directory on your workspace and call it "quake-trackers", download the earthquake data file called quake-trackers.zip file to this directory and unzip it here. There is a brief "readme" within this file. To view or interrogate the data you will need to open the file "quakes.aep" in ArcExplorer and use the online help.

If you dont have pkunzip, go here.
